Capital AI Education Collective Timeline
Launch of responsible AI Education evidence projects in schools across the city by following a similar data-driven, design-focused blueprint to the one that made the District a national leader in high impact tutoring implementation.
Spring-Summer 2027
The Collective will host the city’s first AI Education Summit, bringing together students, school leaders, educators, policymakers, and researchers to discuss the challenges and opportunities for best practice when it comes to utilizing AI in schools, responsibly. The summit will be held at Gallaudet University. All details will be posted here when available!
October 7, 2026
EK12 will co-host catalyst dinners with school leaders as well as education stakeholder groups to share about the latest research on AI in schools and learn about what challenges different groups are most interested in collecting data around to tackle together.
