TRAINING FOR DATA-DRIVEN SCHOOLS
Effective data use starts with strong data literacy, and educators need support to properly analyze their data and gain actionable insights.
Your Data Journey: Training
Our professional development services for schools and districts empower leaders and instructional teams to take ownership of data practice. We provide tools to help you assess current data literacy, identify growth opportunities, and implement strategies that foster systemic improvement. Training and coaching can be facilitated in-person and via virtual sessions.
Every data-driven school’s journey is unique, and our four-step process will help you become more sophisticated with using data to drive sustainable action, improving outcomes for students and saving money in the long-run.
The data literacy journey
How to assess your staff's data literacy levels
Data-driven review
Starting with a rubric-based assessment, we collaborate with LEA leaders to analyze data practices and culture, see trends, and create a customized coaching plan to advance their progress along the rubric.
Aligned training
Our Transform level offers comprehensive training and tools for fostering a data-driven culture, while Optimize supports LEA teams with their own capacity to advance data literacy.
Regular checkpoints
We hold weekly 60-minute calls with Transform partners and monthly 30-minute calls with Optimize partners to address strategic questions, data logistics, training, and management.
Data-driven strategy, planning, and goal setting
Once schools have established their data practices and data use culture, they can also use the data to create strategies, plans, and goals to drive work and student success.
Our end goal is for your school or district to feel empowered to utilize a combination of essential data, basic statistics, and advanced analytics to make a transformational impact on students’ lives. With the right training and limited ongoing support, your team will save time, money, and energy by making better data-driven decisions.
Levels of data literacy
Data literacy is not a requirement for working with EK12. Our current partner schools started at a variety of points, and while there is more data-driven progress they can make, the impact on student outcomes at scale is significant.
